Death from anorexia

Ever heard of  the name  Isabelle Caro? It is possible that you've seen her from this advertisement against anorexia:
She was a French model who weighed about 80 lbs. She struggled in her recovery with anorexia, she truly wanted to recover but unfortunately the disease took her life in 2010. In this video posted below it says that about 44% of models in the fashion industry suffer from an eating disorder. The video was posted in 2011 so I wouldn't be surprised if the percent has increased by then. She wrote a novel called "La petite fille qui ne voulais pas grossir" or the little girl who didn't want to get fat. She asked to be advertised to get people to react badly to it, to think that beauty isn't only skinny. Her size was sickly and she was strongly aware of that. She was as weak as a woman three times her age (about 25 years old). I am posting this video to make you aware of the dangers of anorexia. Healthy is beautiful.

Anorexia (why it's bad)=

-hair loss
-skin may dry out and turn a yellowish color
-fingernails and toenails will get brittle
-low blood pressure
-weakness/lack of energy
-dehydration
-constant lightheadedness
-heartbeat may become irregular
-damage of the heart, kidneys, liver, digestion, bones, muscles and ovaries
-terrible vision
-"Even before a person with anorexia starts to look "too thin," these medical consequences have begun." (webmd.com)
-severe mood swings, depression
-tooth decay
-growth of fine hair all over the body and face
-irregular periods
-thinning of the bones (osteoporosis)
-bowel issues
-bruise easily
-always feeling cold
-no social life

The good things about anorexia= NOTHING. Anorexia is a disease that is incredibly life threatening. If you or anyone you know is suffering seek immediate treatment. PLEASE.

If she can do it so can you. Don't be too skinny, be healthy. Find a healthy balance

Some of you are not safe to lose weight because the weight you may be at now is possibly dangerously skinny and, in this case, you would need to gain weight. For those who struggle/struggled with bulimia or those who struggled with anorexia and want to reach a healthier weight these photos are for you. As a bulimic I binged on foods and purged. If you eat clean then there would be no reason to have to purge. It takes practice to eat clean and exercise but once you get in the routine you will feel confident and not have any urges to go back to binging and purging. For those who are at a very low weight, it is incredibly important to pack on some extra pounds to reach a healthy weight. Once you are at a healthy weight eat clean and eat good portions. Make sure you have a well balanced meal, three meals a day or six  small meals throughout the day. Again it takes practice. These are before and after photos of people who were at an uncomfortable weight and worked hard to get to a weight that they are proud of.
Fitspiration:

skinny isn't the only beautiful, different body types, before and after fitspiration...

Skinny and curvy-no one is supposed to look the same. We all have different body types

When did this change? Both sizes are beautiful but when did being 25 pounds heavier become a bad thing? Women are meant to have some curves, so be proud of the skin you're in.

HELLO! This is my blog

Hello everyone!  This is my blog for those recovering from eating disorders, for those who are struggling with eating disorders, and even those who have already recovered. I was once a victim of bulimia. My bulimia was so bad that I was close to being hospitalized. My body is still recovering after five years of laxative abuse and  lacking proper nutrition. Social media is what sucked me in and made me hate my body. I was on Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest for at least three hours a day just looking at pro-ana/ pro-mia photos as inspiration on how to become anorexic/bulimic. After I collapsed and lost my vision from an overdose on laxatives I stuffed food in my mouth because I was afraid I would pass out and never wake up. Since that day I am working hard to better my self image. You guys might be obsessed with pro-ana/pro-mia websites, just as I once was. This blog is a fitsipration/ healthy living blog to inspire you to live a HEALTHY and HAPPY life. Love the skin you're in. It will take time to recover but it is possible. Audrey Hepburn said that the word impossible actually says "I'M Possible". You can do this. We are all in this together, you are not alone. The media had brainwashed us to think that the only image of perfection is a size zero and a thigh gap. All sizes are beautiful. If you are insecure about the way you look, maybe change your diet to eating healthier foods. Never deprive yourself. Allow yourself to have a cheat day once a week. My weakness is Nutella and cheddar popcorn (obviously not together...that would be gross. haha). You don't have to workout everyday, start out with exercising at least two to three times a week. Don't become a slave to it, make it a part of your lifestyle. Once you do, I guarantee that you will live a happier life.

Thank you for checking out my blog!
Good Luck!

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.
